The DisplayPort cable is the new world standard for connecting audio and visual devices such as Laptops and PCs to a TV or Monitor. Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) aims to simplify and standardise video connections, and DisplayPort cables are the first step towards this universal update. DisplayPort cables carry both audio and video signal however the audio signal transfer is dependent upon the connecting devices.
4Cabling's DisplayPort 1.4 cables which offer increased bandwidth to 32.4 Gbps and therefore enabling simultaneous use of two 4K Ultra HD monitors. Also supports 3D, HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, 32 sound channel and 1536kHz sample rate.
The 4Cabling DisplayPort 1.4 cable enables the connection of your DisplayPort supported (Gaming) PC or Laptop to an Ultra HD High-Resolution Monitor or other Mini DisplayPort supported device. DisplayPort 1.4 adds support for Display Stream Compression 1.2 (DSC), Forward Error Correction, and extends the maximum number of inline audio channels to 32. They are also compatible with the use of adapters with existing standards such as VGA, DVI and HDMI.
